changes

As many of you already know, our family has been making some changes! After many discussions and back and fourths, Jeff has made a career change. He has started his own real estate company. He is enjoying the challenge and new learning. And we... we are enjoying him! He has much more family time and it has been such a gift.

Last night as we were all decorating cookies, (my favorite still being the Christmas Stegosaurus) the table was filled with smiles and laughs. Could not have been a better moment in time or  filled my heart and soul more.

We are excited, scared (I hold this one) and grateful.

 The tree is up, the stockings are hung and Christmas books are being read. The first round of treats have been made... Biscochitos...the cookies always made in Jeff''s house around the holidays.

Love making these memories and traditions for the kids to know and love.

an amazing week

We had the pleasure of having Nema and Papa stay with us for another fantastic week. The kids were still in school so we had lovely quiet days and our evening were filled with kid activities. They did take one day off and we took the cool fall day to take a drive down to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. We had the place to ourselves and took full advantage.

trick or treat...

from the Snow Queen and Avatar the last Air Bender. Halloween was a success once again...with many friends, great food and smiles from all the kids.  Cole went all in again this year, shaving his head for his costume and Ryan had fun with makeup and hair color.

it's the little things

The kids came home from school one day to see their dad had hung this simple little swing in the front yard. I now find either kid choosing it for their spot to read in the afternoon or the social spot where all of the neighborhood kids gather to talk about what to play next.

  I dare say it is a sweet special little place to be.

absolutely perfect ...

 ...weekend spent with each other celebrating the end of summer. We enjoyed great friends, good food and drink and even a soccer game sandwiched in the middle.
