Impromptu tickets to the Rockies games last night...fantastic.
Seats 8 rows behind the Rockies dugout...amazing.
Both kids bringing their gloves and catching tossed balls... absolutely priceless!

the days in between

Can you handle one more post about San Diego?
We spent our non "pick" days on the beach...with body boards or at the tide pools at low tide.

Can't say it enough...what an amazing time we had.  We all feel so lucky.

After a few days of relaxing beach and tide pool days we were off again.
Day 6...San Diego Zoo!
The animals were really fun to see, but the grounds were spectacular! We felt like it was a zoo and botanic gardens wrapped in one. Really truly beautiful.

  The favorites of the day were the pandas and the orangutans. And now were would like to introduce to you our newest editions to the clan...Yin Ray the panda and Cinta the Orangutan.

An amazing ending to a trip these two will never forget.

Day 3...Go Padres!
We ventured downtown San Diego after a day at the beach and headed out for sushi and over to Petco Park to be Padres fans for the night.  Our seats were really close (Thanks Karikins), the energy was good and the padres won!

Day 2...Seaworld!
 We woke up that morning to a little song by Ryan..."I am going to feed and touch a dolphin today!" Pure excitement and glee.

Again, a great sunny day with little to no crowds. And Ryan's song came to fruition first thing. It brought tears to my eyes to see a passion and dream of Ry's come true. Again, another amazing and special day for our family...including another "real" roller coaster as Cole would say. Again standing as tall as he possibly could Cole just made the height requirement to ride the newest ride, the Mantaray. The first time on it Jeff said their was drool all of the way down his shirt followed by "Let's do that AGAIN!" We discovered Cole's loves for roller coasters. We saw a few shows...including Shamu. And ended the day with a family water ride that left us all drenched and smiling.

Before leaving for San Diego everyone picked one activity they really wanted to do.
Cole's pick... Legoland!
Day 1 - It could not have been better weather, about 65-70 and partly sunny. And there were no crowds...at the most we have to wait 5 minutes for a ride. It was also the kids first experience on a "roller coaster". Cole just made the 48 inch cut off and we needed to puff up his hair a bit too!

They each got their drivers licenses.

 I think the kids were running on pure adrenaline. Jeff and I are still talking about watching the kids' faces feeling overwhelmingly lucky to be able to do this for them. What a fantastic day from start to finish.
